About ISO 17025 Training

ISO 17025 is the International Standard for calibration laboratories where testing must meet certain levels of competence. The ISO/IEC 17025:2005(E) & (Q) has replaced ISO/IEC Guide 25& 26 respectively, and also adopted international requirements contained in EN 45001-2 to become the current standard for laboratory accreditation.

The aim of the standard is to ensure that laboratories have appropriate management systems in place which fully address all aspects of laboratory testing and calibration, as well as other technical and administrative activities related to their operation. It also seeks to establish a means by which these organizations can carry out effective quality assurance procedures at all times – successfully achieving accreditation from a recognized accreditation body is just one part of this objective.

To meet the requirements for ISO/IEC 17025, laboratories are audited against a set of requirements contained in the standard. This international Standard specifies technical requirements and management requirement.
